We all get a little antsy sometimes. If it’s not antsy, it’s the feeling we are trudging through mud. Either way, we want to be going somewhere, making progress, moving forward. I had a boss who once said, “I don’t care if we go the wrong direction, I just don’t want to be stuck at the light.” Patience may be a virtue, but it’s impatience that often prompts us to try something new; to get out there and give it a go.
So this week, forgive yourself for you impatience. Let it go. Get frustrated and move on. You can’t do it all the time but this week get out of the rut and onto the slick track that let’s you move. Take a step- baby or big- and see what that opens up for you. When we move, the view changes. Our perspective shifts. Suddenly it becomes possible to look at something a different way and by definition, your approach has to change. Let your approach change. Sometimes that’s really what you need. To look at the world differently put yourself in someone else’s shoes and then try do something differently. It’s a whole new experience.
Good luck.
